Fit Bod App was created as a project for my Coursera certificate with Google. We had to create an app for "Social Good". It could've been made for transportation, health & fitness, health care, food, investing...etc. Fit Bod App was designed for people who are taking the necessary steps to become healthier, want to track their fitness, and compete with friends.
Designing a product that wasn't too similar to other fitness nutrition tracking apps. There are many nutrition apps out there so it involved UX Research on similar apps and what the bad reviews consisted of.
Solutions
Finding other similar nutrition apps that were based on the same concept is where I found my success. Fit Bod is based off of MyFitnessPal and Lose It! app.
Design Components
The design process was brought into Figma so I could apply any changes that needed to be made quickly. This helped keep any changes consistent.
Added Features

Moreover, inspired by social media platforms like Facebook, I introduced a feature allowing users to share updates on their workouts or fitness progress allowing other friends to "like" or comment on their status updates.
Beta Testing
I began by conducting thorough research to identify the demographics of potential users. Delving into reviews of comparable nutrition tracking apps, I pinpointed areas where users provided low ratings and the reasons behind their dissatisfaction. Armed with these insights, I implemented necessary changes before opening the app to beta testers. The proactive approach resulted in positive feedback from beta testers, who appreciated the swift resolution of issues prior to the official release.

Final Results
After having 16 people be my beta testers, I conducted thorough testing to gather valuable feedback to help enhance the experience for users. Based on the feedback, I found a few areas to improve. Considering the challenges faced by users trying to improve their health and find an app that provides social, tracking food, and finding workouts, Fit Bod App provided everything users are looking for in the fitness community.
